About me

Computer scientist, educator and entrepreneur

I spend my career at the intersection of technology and human understanding — making complex ideas accessible, and helping organisations make better decisions.

Background

I hold a BSc and PhD in Computer Science and am a Chartered IT Professional (CITP) and member of the British Computer Society. My career spans over 15 years across healthcare, energy, telephony, travel, finance and broadcast — in environments ranging from early-stage startups to large enterprises and mergers and acquisitions.

I have a keen interest in the interplay between technology and business, and have contributed to projects of significant value creation and wider societal impact.

What I do

I help organisations and audiences understand emerging and disruptive technologies. As a consultant and fractional CTO, I provide senior technical leadership and strategy to organisations navigating digital transformation and AI adoption.

I also mentor technology professionals and founders — helping them build the confidence and skills to lead in a fast-moving industry.

Outside of work

I'm a husband and father of two. I stay curious through travel, history, film and fitness. I have a particular fondness for nostalgia — especially the evolution of technology and culture over time. For me, each new challenge is an invitation to learn, create and grow — not only as a professional but as a lifelong student of life.

Core philosophies

A problem well defined is a problem half solved
Perfection is the enemy of good
To whom much is given, much is required
Fall in love with the problem, not the solution
Your body is a resume of your daily habits
It takes a village..... (in every sense)
